Bavana Rangan

Program Director, Science Center for Coronary Artery Disease at Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation

Bavana Rangan's work experience includes serving as a Program Director at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation since October 2018. Prior to that, they were the National Coordinator for the VA Cooperative Studies Program Trial #571 since September 2009. From January 2012 to October 2018, they were an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Member and Reviewer at the VA North Texas Health Care System. From December 2014 to September 2018, they served as the Director of Research Operations at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Bavana also worked at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as a Faculty Associate from December 2014 to September 2018 and as a Research Scientist from June 2013 to November 2014. In addition, Bavana Rangan worked as a Lead Coordinator at UT Southwestern Medical Center, VA North Texas Healthcare System/ Dallas VA Research Corporation from January 2010 to November 2014, and as a Medical Scientist at Dallas VA Research Corporation from June 2006 to June 2013.

Bavana Rangan has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Clinical Research from UNT Health Science Center. Bavana also holds a BDS degree in Dentistry from V.S. Dental College and Hospital. In addition to their academic qualifications, Bavana has obtained a certification as a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor from Uptown Yoga Studio in Dallas, TX in December 2018. Bavana is also a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), having obtained this certification in October 2013.
