Abbie Edens is a seasoned professional in museum education and programming, currently serving as the Head of Learning and Programming at the Minneapolis Institute of Art since September 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Vice President of Guest Experience at Conner Prairie, and Director of Education at both the National World War II Museum and the Columbus Museum. Abbie's expertise encompasses overseeing education departments, budget management, curriculum development, and creating inclusive programs such as the Touch Tour for individuals with visual impairments. Abbie also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Mary Baldwin College, and began a career in family and community program coordination at Heritage Museums & Gardens. Abbie holds an MA in Art History from the University of Louisville and a BA in Art History from Purdue University.
