Brian Tighe has over two decades of experience in the music and arts industry, currently serving as an Event Media Technician at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts since June 2012. Tighe has been actively involved in various musical projects, including roles as a guitarist for Jeremy Messersmith since May 2010, and as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist for both The Starfolk and The Owls since March 2008 and April 2000, respectively. Tighe also contributed to the music education sector as an adjunct faculty member in Songwriting/Composition at McNally Smith College of Music from January 2010 to August 2012. Prior experience includes songwriting for The Hang Ups under Twin Tone Records from 1992 to 2000. Tighe holds a BFA in Visual Arts, Performance, and Sound Recording from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, earned between 1986 and 1990.
