Dexter Carlson is a seasoned arts professional with extensive experience in development, program management, and community engagement within the arts sector. Currently serving as Programs Specialist at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Dexter previously held roles such as Development Manager at the American Swedish Institute and Assistant Director of Events and Programs at the University of Chicago. Dexter's background includes impactful positions at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, where a centralized focus on donor stewardship and development operations was pioneered, and experience in the dance community as Director of PETRICHOR Dance and a Ballet Instructor. Dexter holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from New York University and continues professional studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
