Julianne Amendola

Chief Advancement Officer at Minneapolis Institute of Art

Julianne Amendola has over 30 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and development roles. Julianne started their career as a Membership Coordinator at WBUR in 1990 and later became a Membership Support Manager at Nashville Public Radio. In 1996, they were promoted to Vice President, Marketing and Development at Nashville Public Radio, where they managed various activities, including marketing communications, advertising, public relations, membership, and major giving.

In 2000, Julianne joined Greater Public as the Director of National Services, where they focused on developing marketing and fundraising products for public broadcasting stations. During their time there, they also managed a major grant project to develop shared database software and services.

In 2003, Julianne joined the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Support, overseeing all development activities with corporate and foundation partners. Julianne later became the Associate Director of Development, managing annual development activities and launching the museum's first young professionals network.

In 2009, Julianne was promoted to the role of Chief Advancement Officer at Mia. In this position, they provided strategic leadership and directed all fundraising activities for the museum, generating over $15 million annually. Julianne managed a team of professionals involved in major and planned giving, corporate giving and sponsorship, foundation grants, annual giving and membership, donor stewardship, and operations. Julianne was also a member of the senior management team responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, and goal setting.

Throughout their career, Julianne has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managed teams and projects, developed strategic partnerships, and achieved significant fundraising results.

Julianne Amendola completed their undergraduate studies from 1986 to 1990 at Boston University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mass Communication.
