Peter Hamburge

Peter Hamburge is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and management within the healthcare and insurance sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Virtual Services and Clinical Operations Support at Optum Behavioral Care since August 2009, Peter has held various leadership roles encompassing business operations, EHR transformation, and data analytics. Peter's expertise in business continuity and crisis management has been further developed through previous positions at Optum Global, Optum Operations, and Ingenix. In addition to a successful corporate career, Peter demonstrates a strong commitment to sports coaching, achieving significant accolades as the High School Boys Basketball Coach at Minnehaha Academy, where notable successes include multiple state championships. Peter also coaches soccer and basketball at the middle and high school levels, showcasing a passion for youth sports development. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Macalester College.
