Diane Rydrych currently serves as the Director of the Health Policy Division at the Minnesota Department of Health, a position held since March 2023. Previously, Diane was the Assistant Commissioner of the Health Systems Bureau from December 2020 to March 2023, providing strategic guidance for multiple divisions, including Health Policy and Health Regulation. From December 2011 to December 2020, Diane directed the Division of Health Policy, leading a team of approximately 125 staff and managing initiatives related to health information exchange, patient safety, rural health, and healthcare reform. Diane's career at the Minnesota Department of Health also includes roles as Assistant Director and Senior Research Analyst within the Division of Health Policy. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Analyst at the Minnesota Department of Economic Security from 1997 to 2000. Diane holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a focus on Nonprofit Management from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
