Edward C. Sanderson

Metro District Legislative Liaison at Minnesota Department of Transportation

Edward C. Sanderson has extensive experience in urban planning, engineering, and project management within transportation and public infrastructure. Currently serving as the Metro District Legislative Liaison for the Minnesota Department of Transportation since August 2018, Edward assists in legislative analysis and communication while managing design and engineering activities for the Gold Line BRT Project. Previous roles include Principal Engineer for BRT projects, Lead Urban and Transportation Planner at WSP USA, Interim Recreation Director for the Town of Wayland, and Senior Planner at CDM Smith. Edward's early career included city planning for the City of Los Angeles and project engineering with CDM. Edward holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota, a Graduate Certificate in Community Environmental Studies from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
