Garrett Schreiner

Principal Engineer at Minnesota Department of Transportation

Garrett Schreiner has worked at the Minnesota Department of Transportation in various roles since 2007. Garrett started as a student worker for the Freeway Incident Response Safety Team (FIRST) Dispatcher, where they monitored and reported traffic conditions and worked on developing improved ramp metering algorithms. After that, they worked as a Graduate Engineer from May 2009 to March 2011 and as a Project Engineer from March 2011 onwards. In 2015, they became a Principal Engineer at the same company.

Garrett Schreiner completed their education starting in 2003 at Iowa State University, where they studied Aerospace Engineering for two years. In 2005, they transferred to the University of Minnesota and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2009.
