Ali Wysopal

Ali Wysopal has a diverse work experience in the field of conservation and preservation. They have worked as a Project Manager II at the Minnesota Historical Society. Prior to that, Ali served as a Stained Glass Conservator at A.W. Studio, providing conservation services for decorative glass. They also worked as a Sherman Fairchild Foundation Conservation Fellow at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and as an Architectural Conservation Intern at Historic Brattonsville. Additionally, Ali has experience as a Collections Assistant at Landmarks, a Conservation Technician and Student Conservation Intern at The Western Archeology and Conservation Center, and a Student Intern at the Arizona State Museum, Conservation Lab. They have also worked as a Student Curatorial Assistant at the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona and as a Collections Management Volunteer and Board Member at Carnegie Historical Museum. Ali's earlier experience includes working as a Stained Glass Craftsperson at Bovard Studio, Inc. Ali Wysopal has a diverse education history in the field of historic preservation and conservation. Ali pursued a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture from 2019 to 2021, specializing in Materials Conservation. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Heritage Conservation from the University of Arizona in 2019, focusing on Historic Preservation and Conservation. In 2014, Ali completed a Post-Baccalaureate Degree in Fine Art Conservation with a Certificate from Studio Arts College International. Ali'sundergraduate studies were completed at Loyola University Chicago from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and Anthropology. In 2013, they pursued additional education as a Non-Degree Seeking Graduate Student in Chemistry at Metro State University.
