Community Engagement Manager at Minnesota Historical Society

A'nia-Nicole Rae has a diverse work experience that spans various organizations and roles. In 2015, they served as a Brand Ambassador for MY SISTER, a role they held until 2022. In 2017, they worked as a Project Manager at Minnesota Historical Society until 2022. During the same period, they also served as the Vice President & Community Outreach for Black Motivated Women until 2019. A'nia-Nicole was a Servant Leader Intern- Freedom School at Children's Defense Fund from 2017 to 2018. In 2020, they became an ELA Teacher at Brooklyn Center Community Schools, a role they held until September 2022. A'nia-Nicole also worked as a Program Developer for Educators for Black Lives- Reading the Revolution in June and July 2020. In 2018, they became a Facilitator at the Irreducible Grace Foundation, a position they still hold. Lastly, in 2015, they worked as a University of Minnesota History Day Mentor until May 2016. Most recently, they joined Minnesota Historical Society as a Community Engagement Manager, specifically focusing on Black History starting in September 2022.

A'nia-Nicole Rae pursued their education at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General. A'nia-Nicole attended the university from 2015 to 2019. Later, in 2019, A'nia-Nicole Rae enrolled in the University of Minnesota once again, this time aiming to earn a Master's degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education. This program lasted until 2020 when they completed their studies.
