Lory Sutton

Lory Sutton has extensive work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Lory began their career in 1977 as an Announcer, Reporter, and News Editor at KEMB Radio. In 1979, they worked as an Account Executive at Mohawk Advertising Company before joining KDUB TV as a News Editor and Reporter later that year. In 1980, they worked as the Employee Communications Manager at Dayton's department store division of Dayton Hudson Corporation. Lory also worked as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the same company from 1984 to 1994. In 1994, they became the Communications Director at Education Alternatives, Inc. before taking on the role of Director of Corporate Communications & Jostens Foundation at Jostens from 1996 to 1999. From 1996 to 2004, they served as the President of their own company, Sutton Communications. Lory then worked as an Account Director at Weber Shandwick from 1999 to 2001. Finally, they became the Chief Marketing Officer at Minnesota Historical Society in 2002.

Lory Sutton attended Iowa State University from 1975 to 1979, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. During their time at Iowa State, they also participated in the ISU Journalism European Study Program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1978.
