Sara Flannery

Sara Flannery has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sara currently works as a Senior Business Analyst at the Minnesota Historical Society since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy as a Curriculum Coordinator from October 2021 to July 2022.

Between 2019 and 2021, Sara held roles at the Department of Political Science at the University of Minnesota. Sara started as an Executive Office & Administrative Specialist, where they provided high-level support to the Undergraduate Advising Office and managed various tasks such as scheduling, scholarship application processes, and database management. Sara was then promoted to the role of Principal Office & Administrative Specialist, where they handled inquiries, managed department files, and facilitated space reservations for meetings and events.

Sara's earlier experience includes working as an Office Assistant at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from March 2015 to August 2017. In this role, they provided administrative support, managed appointments and billing, and handled various confidential tasks. Sara also worked as a Student Development Representative at the University of Minnesota Foundation from September 2014 to December 2014, where they communicated with alumni and fundraised for scholarships and research funds.

Their earliest work experience was as a Sales Associate at Old Navy from October 2011 to November 2014. Here, they focused on providing excellent customer service, learning new systems, and was recognized as Employee of the Month in September 2012.

Sara Flannery attended the University of Minnesota from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. In 2016, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Limerick, focusing on History. In addition to their formal education, they obtained an Equity and Diversity Certificate from the University of Minnesota in December 2020.
