Founded in 1982 by members of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company (MLM) provides lawyers professional liability insurance and risk management services for the legal community in 15 states. At MLM, lawyers' professional liability insurance is all we write. We are a policyholder-owned mutual company that does not answer to stockholders seeking profits. MLM is rated A (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating, with a Stable outlook, by AM Best, one of the oldest and most widely recognized providers of ratings and financial data in the insurance industry. This financial strength ensures our capacity to provide the protection lawyers deserve today and far into the future.
