Eric Athman

Eric Athman, CPA has a diverse work experience that spans over many years. Eric started their career as an Audit and Tax Intern at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in 2004. In 2006, they joined Ernst & Young as a Senior Financial Auditor/Accountant. Eric then transitioned to the State of Minnesota in 2012, where they held multiple roles including State Military Auditor (Audit Manager) and later became the State Military Auditor (Audit Director) until August 2021. Concurrently, Eric also served in the Minnesota National Guard, starting as a Company Commander in 2003 and progressing through various positions until becoming the Chief of Legislative Affairs in September 2023. Prior to that, they held roles such as Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations Officer, and Battalion Executive Officer. Overall, Eric's work experience showcases their expertise in auditing, accounting, and military leadership.

Eric Athman, CPA, has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University - Herberger Business School, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Eric also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business from 2010 to 2013. In 2018 and 2019, Eric pursued a Fellowship in Public Policy at the University of Minnesota. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the State of Minnesota.
