Phil Denniston has held multiple roles in various organizations throughout their work experience. Phil started their career in 1996 as an Organizing Director at SEIU Local 1985. From there, they joined 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East as a Lead Organizer. In 2003, they became a Lead Organizer at Health Professionals & Allied Employees and later transitioned to the role of Assistant National Executive Director/National Organizing Director at SAG-AFTRA in 2006. Phil worked in this role until 2014 and then joined NYSNA as an Organizing Director. In 2016, they became the Organizing Director at Health Professionals & Allied Employees, where they stayed until 2019. Phil is currently serving as the Director of Field Operations at Minnesota Nurses Association.
Phil Denniston graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Labor and Industrial Relations.
