Jacob Aloi

Jacob Aloi is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Weekend Newscaster and Arts Reporter at MPR News since May 2022, where responsibilities include producing and delivering hourly newscasts and anchoring various programs. Prior roles at MPR News included Arts Reporter II/Fill-in Newscaster, focusing on performing arts and covering a range of cultural topics. Additionally, Jacob has a background in hosting and producing "The Mocktail Hour" at WFNU-LP, as well as serving as Multimedia Editor/Executive Producer at The Oracle, where a podcast received recognition at a national conference. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hamline University and has completed training at the National Critics Institute in 2024.
