Jacob Deems

Jacob Deems has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being the VP of Operations at Minnesota Rusco & Companies since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Operations at the same company from 2020 to 2022, and as the Director of Corporate Development and Human Resource from 2019 to 2020. Before joining Minnesota Rusco & Companies, Jacob was the Director of Education at RYAN BANKS ACADEMY from 2018 to 2019. Jacob also held positions at Academy for Global Citizenship as MYP Coordinator and Teacher from 2017 to 2018, and as MYP Teacher/ManageBac Manager from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they worked at Eden Prairie Schools as the Q Comp/TD&E District Coordinator in 2015.

Jacob Deems is currently in the process of completing a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Minnesota, which they have been pursuing since 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from National Louis University in the years 2004 to 2006. Jacob also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Writing from North Central College, which they completed between 1998 and 2002. In addition to their degrees, Jacob has obtained two certifications. Jacob received a Type 09 IL Teaching License from ISBE in August 2015 and a PK-12 Administrative Certificate from the University of Minnesota in June 2014.
