Luke Strand

Luke Strand is an experienced ice hockey coach currently serving as the Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato since April 2023. Prior to this role, Luke was the Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach at The Ohio State University Department of Athletics from July 2022 to April 2023. With a strong background in player development, Luke worked as a Development Coach at Signature Elite Hockey from 2000 to April 2023. Additional coaching experience includes serving as Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Sioux City Musketeers, as well as roles in the Calgary Flames organization as an Amateur Scout, and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as Associate Head Coach. Luke holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where studies were completed from 1993 to 1997.
