Pieter Dehart

Pieter deHart currently serves as the Associate Provost for Research, Dean of Graduate Studies, and Professor of Biology at Minnesota State University, Mankato, since April 2024. Prior to this, Pieter held the role of Associate Vice Chancellor for Graduate Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay from January 2020 to April 2024, focusing on enhancing graduate opportunities and the research profile of the institution. Pieter has held various academic and administrative positions, including Dean of Environmental Conservation and Research at Unity College, Director of Undergraduate Research at Virginia Military Institute, and Program Director of Science and Mathematics at Mount Ida College. Pieter's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Marine Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and an M.A. in Biology from Boston University, among other qualifications.
