Ronald Schirmer

Ron Schirmer is a Professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato, since August 2003, where responsibilities include teaching over 12 undergraduate and graduate courses in anthropological and archaeological data, methods, and theory, as well as serving as the Director of the department's museum of anthropology. Additionally, Schirmer has been a Research Associate at the Science Museum of Minnesota since 1999, contributing to original research in the archaeology of the American Midcontinent. Previously, as Principal Investigator at Hemisphere Field Services between 1999 and 2001, Schirmer managed small to medium archaeological projects. Schirmer holds a Ph.D. in Archeology and Paleoecology from the University of Minnesota and has a Master's degree in Archeology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
