Matt Wells

Senior Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics at Minnesota Wild

Matt Wells is the current Director of Marketing Intelligence at the Minnesota Wild. Prior to this role, Matt served as the Senior Director of Enterprise Data Governance & Integration at Experian from November 2019 to September 2021. In this role, Matt led a team of technical business analysts who built business cases and detailed requirements for data marts and business intelligence solutions. Matt then served as the lead business analyst and program manager as the projects were implemented using a cross functional team of IT professionals, BI developers, and business subject matter experts. Successful deployments during their time at Experian include a comprehensive data mart for global procurement, multiple integrated and standardized data marts for product volumes (unit sales), and standardized global sales pipeline reporting. The team was built from scratch starting in December, 2019.

Before their time at Experian, Matt served as the Head of Customer Insights & Analytics at Clarivate Analytics from October 2016 to November 2017 and at Thomson Reuters from January 2005 to October 2016. Matt also spent two years as a Principal at Mattwells Consulting, LLC from November 2017 to November 2019.

Matt Wells has a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA in Marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Matt is certified in Tableau Analyst and Tableau Author from Tableau Software.

Matt Wells reports to Mitch Helgerson, SVP, Marketing & Broadcasting. They are on a team with Molly Munro - Marketing Coordinator, Jeff Dekeuster - Retail Marketing Coordinator, and Logan Fischer - Marketing Analyst.
