Cyril Akafia

Cyril Akafia has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Cyril is currently working as a Junior Bio-Machine Learning Engineer at minoHealth AI Labs, where they focus on artificial intelligence components of minoHealth AI and karaAgro AI & Drone platforms. Their responsibilities include data collection, data processing, AI research, and development and deployment.

Prior to their current position, Cyril worked as an Intern at the University of Ghana, School of Engineering Sciences in 2021. Cyril also gained internship experience at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the same year.

In addition, Cyril has experience as a Clinical Engineer at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (RIDGE) in 2021. Cyril was responsible for utilizing their engineering knowledge to support the hospital's clinical operations.

Before pursuing a career in the field of engineering, Cyril worked as a Service Advisor at Toyota Ghana Company Limited in 2019.

Cyril Akafia completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ghana from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, in 2015, they attended NIIT where they studied Microsoft Office. Additionally, Cyril has obtained several certifications, including Computational Neuroscience from IBRO-Simons Computational Neuroscience Imbizo in May 2023, ReachSci Research Champion from ReachSci in April 2023, AI Programming with Python Nanodegree (AWS Scholarship) from Udacity in December 2022, and Data Analyst Nanodegree Program (ALX Scholarship) from Udacity in November 2022.
