Mary N. is also the principal attorney for The Law Offices of Mary N. Chaney, P.L.L.C.
Mary has academic experience as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati. Mary N. has also held executive positions in information security and privacy for Fortune 50 companies like Comcast, Johnson & Johnson, and GE Capital. Mary N. served as a Special Agent for the FBI, where they worked on cybercrime cases and developed the Information Security and Privacy program for the Los Angeles field office. Mary is an expert in developing and operationalizing holistic information security and privacy programs using frameworks like NIST.
Mary N. Chaney, Esq., CISSP, CIPP/US earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Information Systems from Xavier University - Williams College of Business in 1994. Mary N. continued their education by obtaining a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Southern University - Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1999. In August of 2008, they achieved three certifications from (ISC)² - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and then they obtained The Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in August of 2019.
