Shahnaaz K. is a Doctoral Student at the University of Cambridge since September 2023, pursuing a PhD in Education, following an MPhil in Education obtained from the same institution in 2022. As an educator at Shiv Nadar School since October 2018, Shahnaaz K. has contributed to the field of education while also serving as a Documentation Officer for Minority Rights Group International since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Research and Communications Officer at the Centre for Equity Studies from September 2017 to October 2018. Shahnaaz K. holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Peace Building from Jamia Millia Islamia and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Calcutta.

Minority Rights Group International campaigns worldwide with almost 300 partners in 60 countries to ensure that disadvantaged minorities and indigenous peoples, often the poorest of the poor, can make their voices heard. We understand how discrimination based on age, class, gender and disability can have a multiple impact on disadvantaged minorities, and our campaigns target governments and communities to eradicate such attitudes. Through training and education, legal cases, publications and cultural programmes we support indigenous people and minorities as they strive to maintain their rights – to the land they live on, the languages they speak, to equal opportunities in education and employment, and to full participation in public life.
