Montse Marti

Montse Marti has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Montse began their career as an Analytical Chemist at the RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment in 1999. Montse then worked as an R&D Chemist at SRI International from 2000 to 2002 before joining Compañía Europea del Agua, S.A. (CEASA), where they served as a Chemical Products Manager from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, Montse Marti joined Linde (Healthcare) as a Medical Gases Laboratory Manager, responsible for formulating and analyzing medical gases. Montse held this position until 2007 when they transitioned to Combino Pharm, S.L. (Medichem). At Combino Pharm, they initially worked as an Analytical Transfer Manager in the R&D department from 2007 to 2008. Montse then became the Outsourcing Manager for R&D, where they successfully implemented a streamlined outsourcing model with CDMOs, resulting in improved quality control and operational efficiency. Montse managed the commercial relationship and business processes with CDMOs, including negotiation of supply agreements. Montse also oversaw the scale-up and transfer of sterile products, contributing to increased R&D efficiency and company revenue.

In 2012, Montse Marti joined Synthon as a Development & Operational Project Manager. In this role, they led international and high-performing CMC development and operational teams, managing complex projects in drug substance and drug product development and industrialization. Montse set up strategies, goals, and timelines, and managed budgets.

From 2017 to 2018, Montse Marti worked at mAbxience (Insud Pharma) as a Program & Alliance Manager. Montse was responsible for managing a key monoclonal antibody program, including budget management and program risk assessment. Montse participated in due-diligence exercises for potential new deals.

Currently, Montse Marti holds the position of Executive Director CMC & Supply Chain at Minoryx Therapeutics. Since 2018, they have been the product development and operations leader for this registration stage biotech company focused on novel therapies for orphan genetic diseases of the CNS. Montse oversees all in-house and external CMC activities, including the selection and supervision of CDMOs and other technology providers. Montse reports directly to the CEO.

Throughout their career, Montse Marti has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of CMC, program management, outsourcing, analytical transfer, and laboratory management. Montse has consistently proven their ability to contribute to the success and growth of the organizations they have worked with.

Montse Marti's education history begins in 1992 when they attended IQS Barcelona and earned a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry. Montse continued their education at IQS Barcelona and obtained an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering between 1999 and 2001. In 2005, Montse Marti studied at Universitat de Barcelona and completed a postgraduate program in Pharmacy. Montse furthered their education in 2008 and 2009 at La Salle BCN, where they earned a Master's in Project Management. In 2013, Montse Marti attended Esade and obtained a qualification in People Leadership and Team Management. Their most recent educational endeavor was in 2019 at IESE Business School, where they completed a Professional Development Program in Business Administration and Management.
