Sanjay Nazareth

Sanjay Nazareth has an extensive work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles.

Sanjay started their career at American Express in 1999 as a Sales Manager before moving to HDFC Bank in 2000, where they worked as the Head of Direct Banking Operations for a decade.

In 2010, Sanjay joined the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) as the Head of Rupay Card Operations. Their responsibilities included setting up the Rupay card network and focusing on transaction management and dispute resolution rules.

After leaving NPCI, Sanjay joined Visa in 2012 and held various roles. Sanjay initially served as the Director of Business Development, where they were in charge of new initiatives like Toll and Transit and Contactless. Later, they became the Senior Director of Client Support, managing client support for clients in India and South Asia. Sanjay also led the migration of banks to comply with the RBI Mandate and was responsible for transaction performance, certification, and training on network operations.

Most recently, Sanjay co-founded Mintoak Innovations Private Limited in 2017. As a co-founder, they are focused on nurturing digital payments and building a showcase ecosystem for small merchants. Their goal is to help them embrace all forms of digital payments.
