Mnar Muhawesh

Mnar Muhawesh is the Founder and CEO, as well as the Editor In Chief of Mint Press News, an independent journalism organization established in June 2011 that focuses on in-depth reporting and analysis of significant issues influenced by special interest groups and lobbying efforts. Additionally, Mnar Muhawesh produces and hosts "Behind the Headline," a citizen-led watchdog journalism show launched in July 2015 in partnership with Free Speech TV, which is noted as the first TV show hosted by a hijab-wearing anchor in the United States. Previous experience includes roles as a freelance correspondent and online news writer. Mnar Muhawesh holds two Bachelor's degrees from St. Cloud State University, one in Broadcast Journalism and the other in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Journalism.
