M. Bertie Magit

Bertie focuses her practice on corporate matters such as corporate governance, capital markets transactions, private company financings and mergers and acquisitions. She works with companies in all stages from early stage startups to mature public companies.

Bertie also advises clients in the sports and entertainment industry in a wide variety of agreements and licensing transactions, including sponsorship agreements, intellectual property asset agreements, influencer agreements, as well as software and technology licensing agreements.

While earning her JD, Bertie worked as a legal clerk at BET Networks (a subsidiary of Viacom Inc.), a legal extern for WGBH, and a legal intern for California Lawyers for the Arts. In addition, she was a staff editor of the Boston College Intellectual Property and Technology Forum and was a teaching assistant for torts and property courses at Boston College Law School.

Prior to attending law school, Bertie worked as a producer in California’s entertainment industry.
