Tom Alexander Trones has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tom Alexander currently holds the position of Chief Product Officer at Minuendo | Lossless earplugs since August 2018. Prior to this, Tom worked at Cisco for a significant period, starting in September 2011. During their time at Cisco, they held multiple roles, including Project Manager & Audio Identity Lead from September 2014 to August 2018 and Audio R&D Engineer & Audio Identity Lead from November 2011 to September 2014.

In addition to their work at Cisco, Tom has also worked as an Acoustic Advisor at Sodapop Audio from February 2016 to 2017. Before joining Cisco, Tom worked at Trondheim kommune, where they held the role of Music Producer & Teacher at Kulturfabrikken ISAK & Mind The Gap from December 2004 to April 2011.

Tom's entrepreneurship skills are evident in their roles as Managing Director and owner of SunYard Productions from 2005 to 2011, as well as co-owner and producer at SoundPLAY Productions from 2007 to 2010.

Tom has also gained valuable experience through summer internships. Tom Alexander worked as an R&D Engineer, Audio at Cisco Systems from June 2010 to September 2010, and as an R&D Engineer, Audio at TANDBERG from June 2009 to August 2009.

Tom's passion for music is further demonstrated by their role as a Lecturer at NTNU, where they taught basic and advanced music technology to university students. Tom Alexander also worked as a Guitar Tutor in a private capacity from 2001 to 2005.

Tom Alexander Trones completed their education as follows:

From 2004 to 2006, they attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and earned a B.A in Music Technology.

In 2007, they obtained a Certification from the Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio for Official Pro Tools certification Level 101 & 110.

In 2008, they participated in a program at Fudan University, where they obtained 6 ECTS in Chinese Economy & Politics.

From 2006 to 2011, they returned to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and earned an MSc in Acoustics, Electronics & Signal Processing.

In 2010, they briefly attended the Euroregio Summer School for Young Researchers in Acoustics, located in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and earned 2 ECTS in Building-, Numerical-, Voice-, and Musical Acoustics.

Also in 2010, they completed a 7.5 ECTS Mid-Norway Take-Off Entrepreneurship program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
