Hugo Lin has a diverse work experience history. In 2019, they worked as a Retail Salesperson at Gap and also served as a Registration Officer at Élections Canada for a brief period. Later that year, they became the Creative Director at Ascend UBC and the Sales Marketing Coordinator at L'otus Cake Boutique. In 2021, Hugo took on the role of Digital Marketing Manager for F@#K2020, where they managed graphic design, branding, and communication with developers. In 2022, they worked as a Senior Supervisor at The University of British Columbia and as a Student Mentor at BCIT School of Business + Media. Most recently, in 2023, Hugo joined MiQ as a Trading Intern and is currently working as an Associate Trader.

Hugo Lin obtained their High School Diploma from David Thompson Secondary between the years 2014 and 2019. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at The University of British Columbia from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Hugo is enrolled in the BCIT School of Business + Media, specializing in Marketing Communications, which they expect to complete between 2021 and 2023. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Hootsuite Platform Certification in April 2023 and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification in January 2023. Additionally, they have completed courses in Email Automation and Email Marketing at Intuit Mailchimp, as well as the Google Tag Manager Fundamentals course through Google.
