James Gulizia

Vice President And Medical Director, GI Pathology at Miraca Life Sciences, Inc.

James Gulizia has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions related to pathology and medical research. James started their career as a Post Doctoral Fellow, specializing in Molecular Virology, at the Max Planck Institute from 1991 to 1992. James then joined Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Resident, Fellow, and Staff Pathologist from 1994 to 1999. From there, they moved to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where they worked as a Pathologist from 1999 to 2006. After that, James joined Miraca Life Sciences, first as a Pathologist from 2006 and later as the Vice President and Medical Director of GI Pathology from 2016.

James Gulizia obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, between 1981 and 1985. James then pursued further education at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, earning both an MD and a PhD in Medicine from 1986 to 1994.
