Anna Pedroza

Anna Pedroza is the trustee for Area 1, the southernmost portion of the MiraCosta College District, which includes the City of Del Mar and Carmel Valley. The Board of Trustees unanimously selected Pedroza October 19, 2017, after an extensive review of applications and public interviews. Pedroza was elected in November 2018.

Pedroza’s career as an educator began at age 20 as an instructional aide at Torrey Pines High School. From there she taught Spanish, English and English Language Development (ELD). She now serves students as a school administrator.

A long-time resident of Del Mar, Pedroza holds a master’s degree in educational administration and bachelor’s from San Diego State University.
