Karina Duarte

Karina Duarte has extensive experience in counseling and academic support, currently serving as a General Counselor, Associate Career Counselor, and Counselor/Coordinator for UPRISE at MiraCosta College since July 2014. Previous roles include Adjunct Counselor at Palomar College and Associate Counselor in the San Diego Community College District. Karina has volunteered as a College Prep Coach at YALLA and worked as a Graduate Counseling Intern at Los Angeles Pierce Community College, where responsibilities included creating career and academic workshops. Additional experience includes a role as a Tutor at UCLA and Project Manager at Conill Advertising, managing multiple marketing campaigns. Karina holds a Master of Science in Counselor Education from California State University, Northridge, and degrees in Communication and Student Affairs.
