Cynthia Diehl, M.D, F.A.C.S. has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Cynthia is currently the owner of Diehl Plastic Surgery, a successful aesthetic plastic surgery practice that offers a range of services including surgical and non-surgical procedures. In addition, they serve as the Medical Director for Neauvia North America, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Diehl held the role of Medical Director for Sientra, Inc. and miraDry, Inc., starting in 2018.

Dr. Diehl's career began in 1996 when they joined UNC Hospitals as a General Surgery Resident. Cynthia then went on to become a Plastic Surgery Fellow at UNC Hospitals from 2007 to 2009. During their time at UNC Hospitals, they gained valuable experience in the field of plastic surgery.

Before starting their own practice, Dr. Diehl worked at various medical institutions including Wake Medical Center, where they served as a Medical Staff member in the General Surgery department from 2002 to 2004. Cynthia also worked as a Locum Tenens in General Surgery at Wake Medical Center from April to July 2002. Prior to this, they worked as a Hospitalist at the Federal Medical Complex from April to July 2002.

Dr. Diehl's dedication to the medical field extends beyond their practice and hospital work. Cynthia volunteered as a General Surgeon for the American Red Cross from 2005 to 2007.

Throughout their career, Dr. Diehl has obtained board certification in plastic surgery and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Cynthia Diehl, M.D., F.A.C.S., obtained their M.D. degree from the UNC School of Medicine, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at North Carolina State University from 1987 to 1991, earning a B.A. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Biochemistry. In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Diehl holds the American Board of Plastic Surgery certification, which they obtained in November 2011 through the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Cynthia also possesses the American Board of Surgery certification, which they achieved in October 2002, also through the ABMS.
