Barbara Shulgasser-Parker

Barbara Shulgasser-Parker is a versatile professional with extensive experience in writing and coaching. Currently serving as a College Application Essay Coach at Right Your Essay since January 2015, Barbara assists students in showcasing their individuality through their application essays. Additionally, Barbara has been a Film Reviewer for Common Sense Media and the New York Times since 2014 and 1999, respectively. As an accomplished Author with the novel "Funny Accent" published by St. Martin's Press, Barbara has also made significant contributions as a Screenwriter for Miramax’s "Ready-to-Wear." Previous roles include Film Reviewer for the Chicago Tribune and Film Critic for the San Francisco Examiner, along with reporting and feature writing for the Chicago Sun-Times. Barbara holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from The City University of New York, and is an alumnus of Hunter College High School of New York City.
