Elvin J la Fontaine

Elvin J La Fontaine has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Elvin J began their career at National Australia Bank as a Programme Director, contributing to the delivery of major systems for the Retail, Wholesale, and Treasury banks. Elvin J later worked at Unisys as a Managing Consultant, focusing on testing and business continuity planning for the Year 2000 issue. Elvin J also worked at CSC as a Director, leading large outsource operations in the Utilities and Government sectors.

Elvin then moved to Siemens, where they served as Director of Client Services and later as Director of AustralAsia Programmes. At Alcatel-Lucent, they were the General Manager of Operations and Projects Director, responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects in BSS, OSS, and Network systems. Elvin J then joined IBM as a Partner.

Subsequently, Elvin worked at Amdocs as the APAC Director of Operations, where they were responsible for IT operations, budget management, business development, and client relationship management. Elvin J later joined Ericsson Australia New Zealand as the Regional Programme Director and APAC Head of Key Client Engagements.

Before their current role, Elvin worked at Ericsson Software as the Head of Client Operations, Key Account ANZ. Currently, they are the VP Region Director APAC at Mirantis, a pioneer and leader in open source technologies, focusing on their Docker container platform and the Mirantis Cloud Platform (MCP) with the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) service model.

Elvin J La Fontaine holds a Masters in International Relations from the University of Melbourne, obtained in 2010. They also have a Masters in Business with a specialization in Banking & Finance from Monash University. Additionally, Elvin holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science from Monash University, with a dual major in Computer Science and Statistics & Operations Research. They also have a Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance from Monash University. In terms of certifications, Elvin is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and the Financial Services Institute of Australia. They are also a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society.
