Alexandra Mascarenhas

Alexandra Mascarenhas has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Alexandra started their career as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Waterloo in 2000 and later became the Library Circulation Desk Supervisor. In 2003, they joined Bereskin & Parr LLP as a Biotech/Pharma Patent Assistant. Alexandra then worked at McCarthy Tétrault as a Law Clerk in Intellectual Property from 2007 to 2011. Currently, they are employed at Miravo Healthcare, where they started as a Law Clerk in IP & Corporate in 2011 and progressed to become a Senior Law Clerk in the same department. In 2020, Alexandra assumed the role of Senior Manager, Legal & IP at Miravo Healthcare.

Alexandra Mascarenhas completed their undergraduate education from 1998 to 2003 at the University of Waterloo, where they earned a H.BSc. degree in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology. Following this, in 2011, they enrolled in The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario to become an Ontario Law Clerk, Associate Member. Currently, they are pursuing a certificate program in GDPR for Business at UCD Professional Academy, which started in an unknown year and is expected to end in 2022. Additionally, Alexandra is also engaged in obtaining a Joint Health & Safety Committee Certification from OSG (Occupational Safety Group), which is expected to be completed in 2022.
