Miriam School and Learning Center
Katie Stalter is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in various roles. Since July 2019, Katie serves as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Miriam STL. Prior to this, Katie held the position of Marketing and Communications Specialist at Covenant House Missouri for a brief period in late 2018. From 2014 to 2018, Katie was an Editor/Writer for Undergraduate Admissions at Washington University in St. Louis, and earlier served as Communications Coordinator at the Center for Social Development at the same university from 2012 to 2014. Katie began a career in communications at Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis, where Katie worked as Communications Senior Manager from 2006 to 2012, following a role as Features Editor at The Leader-Union from 2000 to 2006. Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Drake University between 1995 and 1999.

Miriam School and Learning Center
Miriam empowers unique learners by building confidence and a foundation for success. Miriam provides a school for students in grades K-12, supporting them with individualized curriculum, small class sizes, and integrated speech and occupational therapy. Miriam also provides private diagnostic testing, tutoring, therapies and counseling through the Learning Center, serving ages 2-25. The Learning Center runs a summer camp, as well, which offers both academic and social skills sessions. Miriam offers a variable tuition program and works with families to determine a realistic tuition amount for each student. We provide $1.8 million in tuition assistance to 60 percent of our families. This tuition assistance is funded by generous contributors, as well as by our resale shop, the Miriam Switching Post.
