Michael Rooney, P.Eng, currently serves as the Manager of Development Engineering at Miru Smart Technologies, leading a team in the creation of an automated robotic platform and managing projects related to electrochromic window development. Previous roles include Lead Development Engineer and Robotics Design Engineer at The University of British Columbia, where Michael managed a multidisciplinary team to advance autonomous robotic platforms and received the UBC Science Co-op Supervisor Recognition Award. Experience also includes a position as IndyCar Chassis Support Engineer at Pratt and Miller Engineering, contributing to the success of Team Penske in major races. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Master's degree in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes University.
