Gareth Watkins has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the IT industry. Gareth began their career in 2001 as a Technical Support Analyst at Ballast Nedam, where they provided internal IT support for a national construction company. Gareth then joined Kier in 2003 as a Technical Support COINS before transitioning to Thames Valley Police in 2004, where they served as a Police Officer. In 2010, Gareth joined Complete IT Ltd as a Technical Consultant, a position they held until 2013. Gareth then worked at Riverbank IT Management as a Service Desk Team Leader from 2013 to 2014. Gareth's next role was at Bluecube Technology Solutions Ltd, where they served as a Technical Services Manager and later as the Head of Technology from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Aztech IT Solutions as a Service Desk Manager/Service Delivery, responsible for providing high-level leadership and ensuring consistent improvement in customer satisfaction surveys. In 2019, Gareth joined ACS Office Solutions as the Head of Service Operations, overseeing the day-to-day service operations of the professional services division. Most recently, they have been working at Mirus IT Solutions as the Head of Service Delivery since 2023.

Gareth Watkins attended Dane Court Grammar School from 1996 to 1998, where they studied computer science, physics, and chemistry.
