Faraz Ahmed has a diverse work experience encompassing various roles in different companies. Faraz started their career as a Logistics & Design Technician at CEAMD Ltd in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Scientific Researcher at the University of Birmingham, focusing on neurotrauma and neurodegeneration. Faraz then joined Cardiff University as a Scientific Researcher in 2013, where they contributed to research on vertebrate neurone development.
In 2017, Faraz worked as a Scientific Researcher at the Wellcome Sanger Institute for a brief period. Faraz then joined the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in 2018, first as a Foundation Doctor until 2020 and later as a General Surgical Doctor specializing in Senior House Officer until 2021.
Faraz founded Orcaboy Music in 2020, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills. Faraz also joined the NHS in 2021 as an Acute Medicine & Emergency Medicine Doctor. Currently, Faraz holds multiple roles at MirZyme Therapeutics, including Clinical Director of Diagnostics and Scientific Communications, which they started in 2018.
Faraz Ahmed completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool, which they attended from 2011 to 2014. Following this, from 2014 to 2018, they pursued their MBChB degree in Medicine & Surgery from the same university.
