Mustafa Khanwala

Mustafa Khanwala is the CEO and Founder of MishiPay. Mustafa has previous experience working in Barclays Investment Bank and Tata Consultancy Services.

Khanwala started their career at Barclays Investment Bank, where they worked as a summer intern in the Electronic Trading RTB department. Mustafa was responsible for designing and developing enhancements to support team processes, with a focus on automation and standardisation. Mustafa also gained experience in application management practices and the architecture of Algorithmic and Electronic execution.

In 2015, Khanwala worked as an IT Consultant for Tata Consultancy Services. Mustafa was assigned to work with Missing People, a charity partner of TCS. As the leader for the team from UCL, they allocated roles to team members, prepared a robust timeline and project plan, and conducted client meetings. Mustafa also contributed innovative technical, design, costing and fundraising solutions for which detailed plans of execution were prepared. These solutions included a new Microsite and techniques for improved Search Engine Optimisation, which helped to secure £8,000 of new funding for the charity.

Khanwala's work with Missing People led to the team being runners-up in the TCS Tech Challenge 2015.

Mustafa Khanwala has a Msc in Engineering with Finance from UCL, a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from The University of Manchester, and an All India Senior School Certificate in Science from Jabriya Indian School, Kuwait.
