Sean de Four has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and positions. Sean is currently the President & CEO of MiSide since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Lecturer II at the University of Michigan School of Social Work starting from 2014. Sean served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Wellspring Lutheran Services from 2019 to 2021 and as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Children and Families at the same organization from 2017 to 2019. From 2012 to 2017, Sean was the Vice President, Child and Family Services at Samaritas: The Next Chapter of Lutheran Social Services of Michigan. Before that, they held various positions at Judson Center, including Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, and Regional Director, Wayne County. Sean also worked as the Director of New Program Services and Resource Development at Judson Center. In addition, they served as the Associate Director, Project Community at the University of Michigan and started their career as an Intern and Crisis Counselor at SOS Community Services. Sean also worked as a Case Manager / Substance Abuse Counselor at GROWTH WORKS INCORPORATED.

Sean de Four has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Michigan, which they obtained from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science at the University of Michigan from 1994 to 1999. Additional to their formal education, Sean obtained a certification as a Licensed Master Social Worker with clinical and macro designations from the Michigan Board of Social Work in April 2005. In 2022, they also completed a program called Leadership Detroit. In the future, Sean is planning to attend Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2023, although the details of the program are not specified. Sean briefly attended Brown University in 1994, but no degree was obtained.
