Andre Porter

Andre Porter is a seasoned executive with extensive expertise in the legal and regulatory aspects of the energy sector. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, and General Counsel at Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), Porter plays a crucial role in shaping strategies for the reliable operation of the electric grid in alignment with clean energy objectives. Previously, Porter held pivotal roles including Vice President and General Counsel at MISO, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, and Director of the Ohio Department of Commerce. In addition to these roles, Porter actively contributes to governance as a Director on the Board of First Financial Bank and as Chairperson of the Board at Capital University. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a degree in Political Science from Capital University.
