Ecommerce Specialist / Product Designer at MISSHA

Annie Shin has worked in a variety of roles in the fashion and medical industries. In 2021, they began working as an Ecommerce Specialist/Product Designer for MISSHA, a leading creator of high-quality and affordable K-beauty products and trends. In this role, they manage day-to-day operations of all e-commerce and website-related activities, including product content, inventory availability, pricing, and promotional activities. Annie also prepares weekly and monthly sales analysis of marketing initiatives. In 2020, they worked as a User Experience Designer for Salon Manager, an iPad app for electronic salon appointment and service management. In this role, they gave feedback and found any other usability issues within the app, and worked on primary research and redesigning the app by creating wireframes and high fidelity prototypes. From 2016-2020, Annie worked as an Assistant Fashion Designer for Carters Inc., where they designed and managed all hard woven and denim styles from early design stage to production such as sketches in illustrator, tech packs, linesheets, and plm. Annie also managed all development of denim and hard woven washes and dry finish each season for all girl's denim products and all trim development for the girl's denim team. In 2016, they were an Intern for Pastourelle by Pippa and Julie. From 2013-2016, they were a Retail Sales Assistant for J.Crew. From 2011-2013, they were a Medical Assistant for Obstetrics & Gynecology Dr. John & David Kim, where they helped physicians perform routine exams and laboratory tests, checked patient's insurance and got pre-authorization for surgeries/procedures. From 2007-2011, they were a Medical Receptionist for Hematology, Internal Medicine Dr. Yun Hee Chung, where they helped physicians carry out essential clinical tasks including filing and collecting lab specimens, provided a safe and welcome environment for people to visit, and maintained strict confidentiality guidelines regarding all clients, conversations and referrals.

Annie Shin completed the UX Design Career Track at Springboard in October 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
