James Mutune is a GIS and Remote Sensing analyst with a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Karatina University and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Geoinformatics at the University of Debrecen. James has gained practical experience through roles such as a GIS & Remote Sensing intern at the Kenya Wildlife Service and an Enumerator for the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics during the 2019 census. Currently, James serves as an Open Geospatial Technology Mentor for Climate Adaptation with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and is a member of the ISO/TC207 Youth Leadership Group. With skills in geospatial technology, programming, and climate resilience, James is dedicated to applying data-driven solutions to environmental challenges.
