Rachel Vannice

Rachel VanNice has extensive experience in finance, operations, and human resources within the non-profit sector. Currently serving as the Director of Finance, People & Operations at the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team since November 2016, Rachel leads multiple departments, including finance, HR, and IT, while focusing on organizational strategies for effectiveness. Previous roles include Head of People Operations, where Rachel implemented initiatives for inclusion and wellbeing, and Senior Global Operations Manager, where strategies for diversity and international office setups were developed. Rachel has also managed significant projects and funding in various organizations, including advocacy for refugees at the Ethnic Minorities of Burma Advocacy and Resource Center, and has experience in program evaluation with the United Nations. Rachel holds a Master's degree in Global Masters in Development Practice from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Boston University.
