Kayo Yamamura

Kayo Yamamura has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Kayo currently holds the position of Vice President, FP&A at Mission Bio since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as Senior Director Finance at 10x Genomics from September 2016 to January 2022. Previously, they worked as Vice President Finance at EAG Group from June 2014 to September 2016. From March 2009 to May 2014, they were the Finance Director at Life Technologies. Kayo also has experience as a Consultant in Business Process and System Implementation at UT Starcom from August 2007 to February 2009. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Finance Director - Business Process, Standardization and Infrastructure at Hyperion Solutions Corp. from February 2007 to July 2007. Prior to that, they worked at Sun Microsystems, Inc., where they held the roles of Sr. Program Manager from May 1998 to January 2007 and Sr. Finance Manager from July 1992 to May 1998. Kayo began their career as Fin Mgr/Controller at GE Plastics from June 1987 to October 1990 and as a Strategic Planner at EDS - International from January 1985 to June 1987.

Kayo Yamamura holds an MBA in Management - Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In addition to the MBA, Yamamura has obtained various certifications throughout their education and career. These certifications include a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, obtained in February 2014, a Certified Prince 2 Practitioner certification from PRINCE2.com, obtained in August 2006, and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), obtained in 1996.
