Bob Ippolito

Board Member at Mission Bit

Bob Ippolito is a software engineer and entrepreneur who has co-founded several companies, most notably Mochi Media, which was acquired by Shanda Games for $80 million in 2010. Bob currently serves as a board member at Mission Bit, a non-profit organization that provides free coding education to underserved youth in the Bay Area.

Ippolito began their career as a lead developer at WDDG.com, Inc., where they developed CMS websites for entertainment industry clients and advergames in Flash. In 2002, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Masters of Branding, where they oversaw the development of custom software for the company's clients.

In 2004, Ippolito co-founded Talking Panda LLC, which developed mobile applications and games. The company was acquired by Facebook in 2012 for an undisclosed amount. After the acquisition, Ippolito joined Facebook's iOS Core Team via the acquisition of Pieceable Software. Bob left Facebook in November 2012 to join Mission Bit as a board member.

Bob Ippolito studied mathematics at the University of Maryland.
